STACC Software New Features

This page details the changes made to each issue of Sentry / STACC since Version 1.4 The current version of STACC is version 5.3. Listed below are the revisions to the software.

STACC 5.3

• Support for MC55 modems
• Temperature Reports enabled
• Gearboxes with less than 16 gears catered for on Gear Report
• Revbands now variable depending on Tracer 200settings
• Sweet Spot now variable depending on Tracer 200settings
• Second alert on download of SOS disabled by default (new installs only)
• The following dialogs sorted by column: Units, SMS History, Call Request Queue, Call Notification Queue, Call Request History
• Master Phonebook Dialog highlights duplicate row if attempt to put in same phone number
• Falcom Stepp / Tracer 100 / Tracer 200 / STU Lite - Can now enable / disable auto Geofence in Geofence Settings
• Fixed Bug 1203 - Wrong days shown on Location/Standing/Idling/Operational Reports

STACC 5.2

• Now saves column widths in dialogs etc
• Gazetteer, can now enter Lat Longs or Eastings Northings to go to location
• Schedules - Logging Interval is now set for each Unit, not the call schedule
• Performance Report - Now also shows Average Speed when moving
• Fixed Bug S079 - Tote Updating even when SMS older
• Fixed Bug S082 - Fixed ¬99¬ error on Tote
• Fixed Bug S085 - Reports give wrong time after Daylight Saving change
• Fixed Bug S087 - Hang-up on download when uploading Geofences etc
• Fixed Bug S088 - Geofence changed (e.g. radius) set not uploaded

STACC 5.1

• Speeding Report (Requires units to have STU firmware 9.15 or higher). Single maximum speed set for each unit.
• "Pseudo" Area Geofence Report - A report for a Geofence area, based on the ordinary position data of the unit.
• Cruise Control messages no longer shown by default on Real-Time Events Report. Assumes Installation program installed new EventNames.mdb
• Changes made to support new mapping data set (available separately)
• Locator/STU can now be called to perform Benefon style Position and Tracking. Context menus on right clicking units on tote screen modified to show this

STACC 5.0

• Geofence Attributes - Warnings can be sent to Mobile Phones
• Phonebook Entry Attributes
• Distance Calculation Method, can now be Odometer or GPS
• Added Hide button to Gazetteer dialog
• Changed field sizes on reports that were too small
• Serial Port modifications, should now read USB Converters

SENTRY 2.3

• Improved Position Report, now able to reduce number of lines when road etc is the same.
• Improved Group Report, now shows Maximum Speed.
• Unit details now include Voice Number, useful for incoming SMS call identification.
• Trailer symbols added for Units.

SENTRY 2.2

• Improved Performance Report, shows Key Performance Indicators.
• Improved Idling Report, now shows Power Take Off.
• Geofences can now be grouped into Sets for uploading to Units.
• Phonebook Entries can now be grouped into Sets for uploading to Units.
• Sentry Un-install now works for new installations.
• Modem lockup problem now resolved.
• Call failures due to Network problems addressed by immediate call retries.

SENTRY 2.1

• Upgraded dialog for adding and entering Units.
• Refrigeration Temperature Sensor monitoring, SMS Alarm Events and Reports.
• Trailer monitoring and Reports.

SENTRY 2.0

• Driver Details and Driver Summary Reports.
• New Report Centre Dialog (please click here for downloadable instructions on how to use this).

SENTRY 1.11

• Position Report - New report suitable for Benefon Phones, as no ignition data is required to produce report.
• Geofences - First phase of Geofencing. User Place Labels can now be turned into Geofences.
• Two new reports have now been added, AreaGeofence and UnitGeofence.
• Warning alerts sent by SMS when unit crosses into or out of a Geofence.
• Modem resets - to improve modem lockup problems on the Basestation, the modem is periodically reset so now the modem should not need to be reset manually.
• Sentry can now send and receive plain text SMS messages, for example to and from mobile phone.

SENTRY 1.10

• User Place Labels. Now possible to label points on the map using a radius. The Place Label Name will also appear on the reports.
• Sentry can now send Track message to Benefon phones.
• Phonebook. Yon can now create a phonebook, and send it to the Locator unit.
• Vehicles are now called "Units". This is because Sentry can track both vehicles and Benefon phones.

SENTRY 1.9

• Licensing, Sentry now checks to see if it is a licensed copy.
• Sentry can now run properly as non Administrator user.
• Multiple Base Station. Sentry can now run on more than one PC, getting data from the same vehicles.
• Harsh Braking Events. Now shows as symbol on track view.
• When emergency button is pressed more than once on Benefon, it shows as separate events.

SENTRY 1.8

• New icons have been added for vehicles, people, and mobile phones.
• European Mapping now supported.
• Postcode Gazetteer now labels map.
• Oil Pressure and Temperature warnings available by SMS ,(only when connected via General purpose inputs not via the CAN Bus).
• Third Part QAS Software removed, This was removed because the accuracy of the locations shown in the reports was to the nearest 100m, the accuracy of the reports after this update is now down to 10m.

SENTRY 1.7

• Fleet Report - New report this gives the user the ability to be able to print fleet reports.  To use this facility right click on one of the vehicle fleet folders on the tote screen and you will be presented with a new addition to the list "Fleet Report", click on this and then select vehicles and dates to be included in the report.
• AddressData file, new database to give more accurate postcodes, uses Ordnance Survey CodePoint Data, This now gives the software a one metre accuracy for address in the reports giving, This up until now was only available up to 100m accuracy.
• Denmark map file support from version 1.7.3.1 onwards.
• New Operational Report.
• Updated Location, Idling and Standing reports, All Reports use a different way to calculate the data in the reports making them easier to read.
• New orange colour coding for vehicles under the call completion header.   Normally this header says "Call ok" in white or "Remote modem not responding" in Yellow, there has now been a new Colour added, this now says "Call Ok, Missing Fixes" in an orange band, If this does go orange and appears on your system you need to call the MTS Tech Support Helpline ASAP for them to interrogate the locator on the vehicle and make the orange band disappear from your system.

SENTRY 1.6

• Performance Data Reports - New report, shows summary details of the following events and readings (Locator II 7.04 or later):

• Exhaust Brakes.
• Service Brakes.
• Cruise Control.
• Power Take Off.
• Harsh Braking Incidents.
• Gear Engagements.
• Clutch Pedal Operations.
• Odometer.

• Shift Reports for "Standing Time" and "Idling Time".
• Driver Text Messages can now be written to file, set up in Preferences.
• Gazetteer - New feature available from Tools Menu, it allows:

• Finding location by Postcode.
• Finding location by Locality (but only if the locality dataset is purchased).

• Show Location - A Reverse Gazetteer, when do right click on a map, user can pick  the Show Location dialog, which will display the street Address and Postcode of cursor position.

SENTRY 1.5

• Supports "Real-Time Event" messages. These messages allow the production of the Reports for the following events (Locator II 7.04 or later):

• System Hard Reset.
• System Soft Reset.
• Power Take Off.
• Cruise Control.
• Oil Pressure Alarm.
• Oil Temperature Alarm.
• Water Temperature Alarm.
• Fuel Low Alarm.
• Fuel Loss Alarm.
• General Purpose Inputs 1 to 8.

• Delete All Messages" now only deletes completed messages.
• Individual Messages can now be deleted from context menus of Outgoing and Incoming messages.
• Events function (Locator II 7.04 or later) - New button on Track Vehicle view "Events", shows Real-Time on and off activity on map tracks.
• Icons on Toolbar re-ordered into more logical grouping.
