STACC

SafeTrac Automated Control Centre (STACC) is a command and communication product providing real-time information to fleet operators. STACC’s unique design reduces communication costs while offering peace of mind through instant mobile asset tracking thus increasing customer confidence in the security of their products,

STACC may be used with the Tracer 100 & Tracer 200 products to produce a combined hardware and software solution that has stood the test of time and is being constantly improved.

It is designed to meet your fleet management requirements, such as communication, real-time mobile asset tracking and engine management information. STACC employs an open platform which enables rapid and flexible customisation where required.

The Benefits of STACC

  • Reduce your communications costs considerably through STACC's highly efficient data transfer routines.
  • Communicate instantly with any chosen vehicle at any time.
  • Ensure the security of your cargo and drivers through the use of instant in-cab panic alarms.
  • Produce reports showing where the vehicles have been, when and the distances travelled for any chosen period.

Unlike some similar solutions, STACC provides the bulk of your requirements as standard, thus negating the need for you to source additional hardware or software required to provide the answers you need. Where a requirement is not standard we offer flexible customisation for our customers.

Implementing STACC throughout your fleet can bring both INSTANT and more long term tangible operational savings. These savings can include:

  • Through the on-line tracking of vehicles and cargoes for security purposes, lowering insurance risk.
  • Through reduced costs of communication with your vehicle.
  • Through the integration with security systems to reduce risk to person, vehicle and cargo,
  • By enabling on-time delivery of all customer goods and services, maximising customer confidence,
  • By monitoring the efficiency of vehicles through the integration with fuel flow metres,
  • By automating proof of delivery procedures,
  • Through the monitoring of fleet activity and vehicle productivity by the provision of total data - not just spot location which some systems provide,
  • By providing a suite of engine management information that underpins planned versus actual fleet performance comparisons,

What does STACC consist of?

STACC will provide you with almost everything you need to implement a sophisticated Vehicle Information Management System. Because of STACC’s modular composition, customisation is easily achieved,

What we provide as standard:

STACC provides all the necessary software to the Transportation Manager/Fleet Controller to conduct many key operations. Functions include :

  • The user can view and track as many as 250+ vehicles at any one time from a single base-station.
  • Ensure that communication is established with chosen vehicle (and receive warnings when communication is broken).
  • Full control over the data reporting period - enabling the user to receive positional information as often or as infrequently as required.
  • The ability to view multiple moving vehicles on the screen at the same time,
  • Being able to define and respond to vehicle generated emergency messages (status warnings.
  • Conduct typical mapping viewing operations such as pan, zoom in, zoom out, etc.
  • View all vehicle and position data in tabular form.
  • Interrogate and view historical data for vehicle movement analysis, usage trends, journey comparisons, etc.
  • A complete address database for the whole of the UK, enabling the identification of not only position but the address of any point at any time along the journey.
  • A complete reporting system that enables the fleet manager to print off the important information describing the use of the vehicle for a defined period.
  • STACC is a complete solution and can integrate via the Tracer 200 with a vehicles CAN BUS which gives it a technological edge in ensuring accurate information is delivered. In addition STACC’s ability to interface with sensors placed on the tractor or trailer provides a complete fleet solution.

Customisation

STACC can be customized as per your requirements and SafeTrac prides itself on its ability to respond to customers needs. Such as:

Trailer Tags - ensuring that you know which trailer is attached which tractor at all times,

Integration with the AIC and VDO Keinzle Fuel Flow metres enabling highly detailed analysis of fuel usage every second the vehicle is turned on - from idle in the yard, to in-town driving and motorway travel,

Mapping Data

We can obtain mapping data for almost any region in the world, and will provide impartial advice as to the most suitable dataset for your needs. Alternatively you may even be able to use existing map data owned within the organisation. We can advise on format translation (prior to use within the STACC system). You can be sure of this advice as we have many years and considerable experience with map-based solutions,

Passing Position information from the Tracer to STACC

STACC uses the GSM cellular phone network to pass information back to the base station. By polling (making a request for information) the vehicle, the information stored on board the Tracer 100 or Tracer 200 is translated into digital information and passed to the STACC base station. Here it is de-coded, stored and placed on your map screen so that you can see the information you require.

What's involved in the implementation of a STACC / Tracer System?

SafeTrac will ensure that the implementation of STACC is as trouble-free as possible. Whether you have a customised interface, specific communication requirements, even bespoke hardware, SafeTrac will help you all the way. We will aid the process of fitting the Tracer, install the STACC base-station software and ensure correct communication of data between the two. SafeTrac will typically ensure that a single vehicle is operating correctly in the presence of your engineer/mechanic, then provide additional documentation to aid your company team complete the process with the other vehicles in the fleet if required.

What levels of maintenance can I expect?

Maintenance and system support can be arranged at time of purchase,

How much is STACC likely to cost me?
